LocationSensical.net is based across multiple redundant sites throughout London in the United Kingdom. We have sites in Docklands as well as outer London. We locate within the state-of-the-art facilities including those of Europe's most advanced independant colocation company, Telecity Group PLC. Security Each site is manned 24/7 by trained, uniformed security staff to provide a deterrent to unauthorized access. CCTV, with time-lapse videoing, both internally and externally provides information to a security control center on possible intrusion. Proximity cards control access within the facility. Power A sophisticated power distribution system for resilience. Multiple mains electricity feeds are supported by a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system with generator backup. All power back-up systems are individually maintained and checked on a routine basis. Redundant n+1 equipment provides spare capacity to enable maintenance and repairs without interruption to customer services. Controlled Conditions All facilities operate computerised building management systems that monitor and remotely operate sensors covering electrical, mechanical, fire detection and water leakage systems. LINX handles over 95% of the UK's Internet traffic and nearly half of the total Internet routing table is available at LINX. This guarantees high performance access to Sensical.net's servers. LINX Benefits The benefits of Sensical.net's direct connection with LINX are two-fold: Firstly, London is an important topological focus of the international Internet. The majority of transatlantic submarine cables land on the coast of the United Kingdom, and it is common practice for carrier traffic using these facilities to be back-hauled from the coast to international exchanges in London. In addition, there are multiple submarine cables from the UK to all coastal European countries.
