Simple & Honest Products with No Hidden Costs

One of the drivers to set up Sensical.net was the abundance of nightmare stories of sharp practice and dishonourable pricing in the Internet Service Provider (ISP) market. Certainly in the UK it seemed that everybody had a story about their web hosting company drawing them in with low prices but as soon as you got around to setting things up you found that what you wanted to achieve was going to cost you extra. The worst stories surrounded people being locked into ISPs by virtue of the company charging release fees for their domain name. Unfortunately, this practice is still commonplace.

At Sensical.net we try to be as clear as possible about what it is that we are selling and we offer comprehensive services. For example, our Personal Lite Package offers full email service for only £2.50 inc VAT per month. When we say full, we mean full: No limit on the number of email addresses, no limit on mail forwarding (internal and external), no limit on mail filtering (full Procmail support), no limit on mail aliases (full mailing list support), no limit on mail quantity or size, no limit on access (IMAP, POP, Web & WAP are all available). Quite frankly, our email service will meet any imaginable specification.

We don't want our customers to be restricted. You won't find any lock-in clauses or hidden charges at Sensical.net. By providing comprehensive packages we know that our customers won't be disappointed by what they can achieve. We also know that most people won't use all the services that are included which means we can take this into account in the price and offer great value too.

Great Support

Everybody says that customer service is going downhill these days - and they are right. When you have a problem you can never get anybody to help and when you do they cannot help. It's no different in the internet world with most companies not putting sufficient effort into the quality of their customer service and support departments.

The first issue that negatively effects customers is the insufficient number of people dedicated to customer support. But the more important issue is the low quality, experience and motivation of the individuals providing the customer support. Here at Sensical.net it actually is different.

The difference at Sensical.net is that our support department is staffed by people who know what they are talking about. Why is this? Well, it's the old saying: "If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys." While most support departments suffer huge staff turnover (i.e. staff joining and leaving all the time), our support team experiences an extremely low and healthy rate. All in all, it means our customers benefit from quality and experienced support professionals who are getting even better every day.

While we cannot demonstrate the quality of our customer support to potential customers - you'll just have to sign up to try us out - you can take reassurance from the fact that the percentage of customers that move away from Sensical.net every year is one of the lowest in the industry.

Sensical.net provides great products and great support - surely it's going to cost a lot? Well, our third company value is that of value itself. With the Personal Home Package offering a full web, email and domain-name solution for only £5 inc VAT per month, we cost as much as two pints of beer a month. (Actually the average pint of beer is apparently £2.41, but who's going to argue over 9p?) We believe that customers shouldn't pay through the nose for their internet services and that's why Sensical.net's margins are low. Sensical.net is not the cheapest provider in the UK, but you get what you pay for. Sensical.net simply offers some of the best value around when you take into account the quality and comprehensiveness of the service and support provided.
